My career comprises over 20 years of experience in the air transport industry. It began with British Airways in 1991 in Istanbul, Turkey where I worked in airport operations, customer services and catering supervision, specializing in aircraft dispatch and ticketing.
Taking up the role of Air Operations Manager in Turkey, I joined DHL in 1995 and oversaw all the air operations including DHL’s own fleet as well as agreements with other commercial careers for the transport and customs processing of express courier material.
In 1998, I Joined Alitalia Italian Airlines as sales and marketing manager, where I managed all the commercial activities in Turkey. In 2004 I was promoted to the position of Regional General Manager for Turkey and Central Asia, where I oversaw sales in a larger region, as well as representing the company in trade organizations such as the Italian Chamber of Commerce and the Board of Airline Representatives where I was a board member and secretary-general respectively.
From 2012 onwards, I started working as an executive coach. Having completed the CTI Core Curriculum series, the Co-Active Coach Certification Programme, Co-Active Leadership Programme as well as the Organisation and Relationship Systems Coaching Programme, I am an ICF (International Coach Federation) accredited coach and hold the PCC (Professional Certified Coach) designation.
As an executive coach, I worked with executives from various industries including airlines, telecommunications, life-sciences, retail and banking. I have also carried out extensive Assessment and Development Centre projects in those industries.
I hold a BA degree in English Language and Literature from Istanbul University and a Master’s degree in International Relations & Political Science from Yeditepe University. Apart from Turkish, I am fluent in English and Italian. I am a marathon runner and a Scuba diver.
